Course reflection
This course pushed me to work hard and to critically think. There was a lot of pre-class work assigned but it helped me create a schedule for myself to balance and prioritize my work. I was able to learn about the numerous methods used to analyze different macromolecules such as DNA, RNA and proteins. It helped me revisit technical terms I had learned 2 years ago in my undergrad. Coming to class prepared with the readings and pre-class work helped me build confidence to speak up and offer ideas in class discussions.

Interdisciplinary Skills Acquired: communication
For this oral presentation, I had to describe a research project done by any basic science department at Schulich, or another medical school or university using a three minutes elevator pitch. I picked a study on diabetics conducted in Dr. Feng's lab at the department of Physiology and Pharmacology at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry, at Western University.
